An "in-process" project for a new corporate headquarters in Chengdu, China. Built between a project by MADA spam and a project by P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S, the Borden Partnership Project is founded on an investigation of the three-dimensional opportunities for courtyards. The building is a stone clad volume with protruding corten volumes containing the ceremonial pieces. Programmatically the building contains banquet facilities, offices, spa and hotel units. Slated for groundbreaking fall 2008, the project is expected to be complete by 2010. |
