As a modest addition and remodel of a post war house in West L.A., the Noble Project in founded in maximizing the minimum. Extending and renovating the existing telescoping room sequence, the house blurs boundaries between outside an in. The additional spaces of master suite and office in addition to the remodel of the existing house allow for an optimization of space while allowing for connectivity of living across the entire site. The design is a collection of a series of modest interventions each orchestrated to maximize the spatial variety and complexity. By working within a minimal footprint of operation the design reduces plan construction costs while optimizing effect.
