| House m1 was a remodel of historic Gregory Ain House and Landscape in Mar Vista, Los Angeles, California. As an incremental renovation [interior and exterior] of a Modernist Tract House in which the client wanted to continue to live while work was being done, the process was staged in multiple phases. The first included the renovation/reconfiguration of the second bathroom and a general re-design of the site plan to include landscape, back and side gardens including the patio and pool. The second will include front landscape, and full restoration of the formal living spaces. The architecture was about extending what was there and preserving the iconic sensibility of the original architects vision.
